Reiko Gamo
After studying traditional Japanese cuisine with culinary researcher Tadako Matsumoto for many years, Reiko looked towards France to develop more creative cuisine. She studied French cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris for two years before sharpening her skills at Le Meridien Etoile, where she worked for a year. Upon returning to Japan, Reiko began to pursue an unique fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine.
Based on the principle of creating healthy food for the body and mind, Reiko creates delicious, stylish, yet simple dishes, which have earned her the support of many. Reiko's culinary activities include: developing recipes for major food companies, publishing recipes for magazines, and giving cooking lessons, ranging from small classes in her Yokohama studio to classes for the expatriate community. She also provides catering service, ranging from delivering bento (lunch) boxes to organizing parties. Please call or email for details and cost estimates.
